Support Worker

Support workers must

  • Undergo a DBS check

  • Be non-judgmental

  • Empathetic

  • Understand the changing needs of young people leaving care and the challenges they face.

  • You must be practical and flexible and able to respond to a variety of situations. This will require you to work in a trauma-informed way.

  • Need basic IT skills,

  • Level 2 NVQ or equivalent.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and understand the importance of working within equal opportunities, safeguarding and confidentiality guidelines.

  • Communicate on different levels both verbally and in writing, and have good life skills.

Senior support worker

January 20, 2020

  • Undergo a DBS check

  • Recent experience working either as a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker or as a Children's Residential Support Worker in a Children's Home.

  • NVQ level 2 for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification).

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
