What to expect when I move in...

Living at PSA

After you and your Social Worker/Personal Advisor have decided PSA is the right placement for you a move in date will be arranged.

  • On that day you will meet your Key worker and an agreement between yourself and PSA will be signed. This is to ensure both us and yourself are clear about the expectations we have doing your stay with us.

  • If your placement is shared you will be introduced to the other young people at placement.

  • We will provide brand new bedding, plates and cutlery. It is your job to keep them clean and look after them. You will be expected to buy your own going forward as part of your independent living skills. These are items you will take with you to your own flat.

  • You will have monthly house meetings with staff and your peers to discuss outings, issues at placement and recommendations for future events at placement.

  • Your keyworker will also meet with you once a week to support you with a keyworking session. Each session will address an are of need that is of importance to you!

  • Each month your key worker will complete a care review with you. This will out line how you feel, what support you want going forward, your goals for the next month, as well as how we will help you achieve them and how we feel the previous month has been with you.
